With everyone bitching about them being junk. I am just curious to how many miles everyone has put on before they had something go wrong.

I had 400miles on before voltage regulator went south. I was also running a oil pump, egt and af gauge.

1600kms- currently in the shop for:

1) Jack shaft bearing went KAPUTZ.
2) Randomly bogging and quitting completely.
3) Possible TPS sensor fault (not sure yet)

Hi Jess

Clamp on driveshaft
Original quick drive belt
Best 2 stroke I've built
Be riding lots in march
No problems to date except little hard on clutch belts

2012 Pro , 2200 miles
primary clutch spring broke at 600miles
All bushings in the skid , steering bushings , motor mounts at 1100 miles .
After 1300 miles multiple electrical issues and intermittent bogs . Tps problems , throttle safety switch problems (now by-passed)
Full rebuild on primary clutch at 1600 miles .
Currently could use all the bushings again including motor mounts .
It does like to eat belts 300-400 miles per belt of extreme torture!
Secondary spring just got replaced at 2100 miles (long over due and made a huge difference) as well as egt sensor and tps replaced .

Engine to this day still has 120psi compression , I literally tryed to blow it up last ride in 2 feet of fresh with it wot for over 10 min straight . It runs even better now !
Even with the problems I've had these sleds rock in the trees and no other stock sled compares for boondocking

11 Pro, just sold it 3200 miles , never blew a belt, changed it at 2000 miles cause I thought I should, bought one new belt, zero motor issues, no shock issues, checked motor mounts constantly, tiny crease in tunnel, sub frame fine, bent 2 front bumpers replaced with no other damage, never bent an a arm, had Cat rear bumper whole time, had SLP pipe and PC5 , no belly pan, Camo Extreme track, tried 2 different aftermarket seats, no injector issues, no unexpected clutch issues, ran delrin washers under clutch springs, ran a 100 - 330 spring to soften initial engagement, ran MDS 68.5 weights. No issues, great sled , only ride mountains. Put in mtn trek piston kit at 3200 miles cause I thought it was prudent and the motor deserved it. Compared to other brand 800's well, win some lose some. Sold it to a buddy and he loves it.
So, my point, not all experiences are the same.
oh and this was my sled,........... Not my buddies or my cousins or an internet post I read.

Sorry, I forgot, fuel pump at about 2200 miles.

1920 Top end Squeaked Mag side piston.
Bought at 1700 so far not a good experience but now know enough about the machine to make my own opinion due to not knowing the previous owner.
Call me crazy but it’s still the best sled I have ever owned Great 3 days in Vale!!!!!!

12 pro, replaced top end under warranty at 1450 miles due to nikasil flaking off cylinder, a couple bumpers (stock and aftermarket), no primary's, no TPS issues, never a bog or hiccup, no broken rear bumper, no broken a-arms, no loose motor mounts, etc. Always good fuel, stored dry, and regular maintenance. At 1900 miles now and it runs like a top. Still, trading in for a '14 as I only had two years warrantee and don't plan on owning any sled past 2-3 years.

IMO, most people on this site that say they are junk are Doo(chie).....;-)

Pulled the top end down on my 2011 Assault last fall at approx 3400 klm to check pistons as rumor on this site claims they are only good for maybe 2500??? Pistons were in excellent shape.... put back together with fresh pistons and now have 4100 klms on it... only issue I've had was an egt sensor at about 3700 klms and I did have some moisture in the TPS plug (sled would not go into reverse) that gave me a little grief last weekend.. a little dielectric grease and good to go.... MY 2013 Pro has just shy of 1000 klm and not a hiccup.... Have never blown a belt on either machine either, but I always change belts and clutch springs at about 2000 klm just cause....

Absolutely love the pro chassis.............

I would start to think there is more behind it needing all those TPS sensors. Not saying the dealer is scamming warranty. But makes you wonder.

2013 Pro 800 675 miles, took it in for the service bulletin on the quick drive.Found out the jackshaft was hooped, bearing was still intact and belt looked new.I had the jingling noise for about 25 miles and then found the top bolt was loose, guess the damage was done already. They're going to replace the jackshaft both bearings, top gear, belt and new bolts. Before this the sled worked great.

12 Pro. Has a PA 13.6 head, HPS can, Fire n Ice intake, and Boss NOS kit. 230 miles before me and 800 miles total now. Been great so far. Blew the original belt last ride. I'm changing the steering bushings and cut some steel plates to cap them with and replace the aluminum ones for the steering post, hopefully will help with some of the steering post flex. Compression test a couple of days ago showed 136 psi both cylinders at 3000' elevation.
