Tested the tension factor on my 06 REV 151 last weekend and found the breaking point. I believe the stock setup is a 21-45 with the 74 link.
I would like a little more bottom end power and as well upgrade to a 15w setup if it is available. I also have the DJ mountain kit installed.
Any...
I was curious on what the Rev limit is on a doo. I know that I normally run between 8000 - 8200 as a rule and this is where I have the best performance on my sled.
I ran a friends sled on NOS and he was hitting 8700 or close to it on the button. Is this not bad?? Anyone knowledgeable peeps...
I have been looking for after market parts for a RT 1000 Summit but have noticed that there aren't much out there. Anyone know of some shops that carry for this sled?
Thx
I have been reading that some members are pulling great power out of the 1000 SDI sleds. What are you guys running for mods and what power are you gaining with them?
Thx.
Does anyone know what the sensor that goes into the air box does in a REV. I need to reroute it and am just wondering if there is anything that I should look out for. I know that when it gets wet the sled runs like chit! Boggs, choakes and floods!
Thx
On my Rev, I have one ski that sits further back than the other. I was told that my bulkhead was a little bent. I have no issues with riding or steering. Is there a quick fix for this? To what extent will I need to repair this?
Here is an interesting article that you fellow sled heads may like. May get us back in the parks!
Check out the link for the article.
I couldn't post the pics from work. Darn tekkies
What are you fellow sled heads running for octane levels and what mods are you running with them?
Trying to find that happy level without going pop.
As well, I have heard that there is a limit to octane levels that should be run before the engine is robbed of power. Any input would be great...
Does anyone have a book or manual for tunning carbs or jet selection? I know nothing about fuel systems and would like to know more. I recently modded my 06 rev 800 and it seems to be running a little rich. I would like to know if there are any ways to even this mixture up a little or learn...
I'm trying to remember if I had seen an equation to measure JET sizes for any particular sled with mods. Does anyone know if this exists? It may have been for something else.....Its been a long long summer!
I have a 2002 Rev 800 that cooked a piston so i went out and bought a small block to replace it. Did one trip and on the second day that motor blew up on me with the exact same problem.
The inside piston ran to hot and blew a hole in the top of it on the front side. As well the outside...
I have a high compression Rev that i run mixed fuel in. Are there any special precautions that i should take to get it ready for the summer sleep? Before the mods, i just used fuel stabilizer and never looked back.
A couple of guys asked about the noise of a CPI Twin Can. I tried it out at mcbride this weekend and it isn't very loud. Has a great sound at idle but nothing compared to jaws or similar cans.
I have just ported and polished my 800 HO and am curious if I have to remap the CPU or if I have to play with my jets. I have bolt on extras like air filters, vforce reeds, pipe can.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Here are two projects that i have to get done by Dec 5 Weekend. Both sleds will have a port and polish and one is getting a drop and roll and NOS. The last pic is the pipe after it hit the pine tree which started the projects.
