Its been cool in the alpine and raining in town, so i'm praying for fresh up top.
I haven't rode the last couple days but planning to head to Salmon on sunday.

Yes Yes Yes, It's true we received 6" in town in the last 24hrs, but don't rush out yet. I will be out on the weekend to get a few pictures of conditions around the area.

Thanks for the snow update Digger.
Hope to be able to ride Blue River in 2 weeks from now.
Let it snow.
PS: North Central Saskatchewan is getting another early winter storm with up to 15 cm. of snow expected.

Light drizzle of rain throughout the day in town, with the fresh snow line around 5000'.

We're in No rush to go out yet as you can still see grass clumps on Saddle Mountain runs.

We went up Redsands in the Ranger on Sunday and found 12-14" @ 4500' couldn't get to the Heli pickup on the trail because the willows were standing 15' above the snow.

NO snow on the first 3-4 km's of Salmon/Groundhog trail, but has a good base after that and over the knee's at the groomer turn around on East Groundhog.
Started snowing hard up top this afternoon nearly filling in our tracks after a couple hours spent in West Groundhog with fresh snow all the way to the parking lot.

3' in the alpine once you get there, trails are full of rocks, stumps, ice, water, mud, and willows. Still a lot of exposed rocks, totaled one sled on a rock and another went for a swim yesterday.

Use caution on the ice and lake areas in the alpine, only 1/2" of ice covered by 1' of slush, had a guy find out the hard way and went for a swim.
