Events Update! | |
| Hi Everybody! We just wanted to give everyone a quick update on upcoming events for the club. First of all for the week of January 30 through February 5, 2023, we will have some special guests setup at the Stanger Hills Staging area, and utilizing our trails for some Snowmobile training, cross country ski training, snow shoe training, and survival type training. We are very pleased to welcome 1 CMBG HQ & Sigs Sqn (1st Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signals Squadron) of the Canadian Military back out to our area! Please be respectful of this group if you run into them on the trails or if you are in the Stanger Parking Lot. On Friday, February 10, we are hosting our Alberta Snowmobile Tours day, you can sign up for this ride at https://www.albertasnowmobiletours.com/ this is an opportunity to get out on a guided tour of some of our trail system. On Saturday, February 18, we are VERY excited to have our annual Sno Mo Days Poker Rally, we have pre registration for this open now on our website, and all information is on the poster below. Once again this year we will have food available for purchase supporting local organizations at Stanger Hills and at Darwell. We have some awesome prizes starting to trickle in as well, hope to see you there! You can register by clicking the poster below. Don’t forget, after the poker rally, there are lots more events going on in town, including a spaghetti dinner, an ATV & Snowmobile Light Up Parade, family bonfire, fireworks, and the Ice Breaker Parts on the Ice. On Sunday, February 19, the snowmobile drag races are back, please see the Sno Mo Days Website for more information on these, we will be looking for volunteers to help the Lions club make this event a huge success, if you are able to assist please send us an email. As we head further into the season we have a couple more exciting events as well in March. More to come on these, but save the date!!!!
