Look at getting my first sled. I've rented before and borrowed people's sleds. Looking at getting a 700 or 800cc sled. What's in your opinion the best sled for under $4500.

x2 on the M8. Great mountain sled. Getting a little harder to come by but should be able to get in there for that price or pretty close.

Would probably say an 09+ M8 if you can find one. Should be right around that $4500-$5000 mark. Would stay away from Dragon's and i am not a Doo fan so i can't comment on which of those to look at.

09+ m8. Great sleds. Strong bullet proof motor too. Even the older Ms are good too but 09 and up they got that much better. I think that's when they went to the HO motor, electronic revers and powerclaw track which is a lot better than the challenger that came on the older ones

Yeah 09 was a big improvement over 08. They lost weight, stayed with the same engine (Non HO) which was bulletproof and had the Powerclaw track which worked awesome. I loved riding mine for the 4 years i had it.

A 2010 would be great with the HO engine but that may go over budget.

you will be hard pressed to find a skidoo xp or 09+ m8 for 4500 but if you bump your price to 5000 they are out there. in edmonton there are no m8's 09+ and only one xp for $4200 but it has 4400kms but if your willing to bump your price to 5k there are 14 xp's and 09+m8's to choose from.

a m8 thats 09 and newer is my personal choice for your price range but as long as you stay away from Polaris dragons you can't go wrong

2008 polaris dragon 163 might be cheaper than your budget easy to ride tough when taking hits
Might end up with money left over to pay for extra trips to the hills
