I guess we will need a new Matryx 900 section tomorrow?

Nice one .
Been ducking cheap shots fired by Doo since this thread started.
Does second place on spring release really create that much insecurity for Doolaiders?

LOL you cant seriously think this 900r holds a candle to the new GEN5 180hp do you? New engine is cool, but its a farrrr cry from what doo just released.

For me, nope.
Entertaining, yes, and a 1000 times Better than the BS covid talk.
I’m enjoying the site once again, I missed this type of sled banter with my fellow snow and mudders.

How much different is this "new" Gen5 chassis? Did Doo actually change anything other than narrower boards, fugly headlights and a tumor on the right side of the new plastics?

East of the Rockies and west of the rest.
That will be nice with the very old chassis.
I don't get this statement. Since 2012 they have changed quite a bit, spindles, drop and roll, engine, clutch, boards, narrow plastic, alpha rail, track, atac suspension, seat and I'm probably forgetting some. Some people don't like the alpha for the same reason some don't like t-motion. But if you put a 165 mountain cat against the NA offerings from Poo and Doo the cat isn't lacking.

I hope Cat has a good release this year. In my opinion it is an under rated machine.

No doo and mud said it hasn’t changed in over a decade, 2022 is the exact same sled as a 2012

Boards ? What boards ? Snow board attachment maybe ? Cat has the worst running boards in the business.

Doo and poo's trail sleds have better board than the alpha.

Buddy told me he’s heard Cats coming with basically a Carls cycle 900 with option to be turbo or Non turbo. And possibly a new chassis.

?? No idea where he heard that but we’ll see.

Yup this thread is a 1000 times better than those other depressing one.
Next winter will be exciting again.
Be it NAs or turbos fighting it out in their respective classes.
Lots of change for Poo and Doo and the forecast for 2024 is looking just as aggressive.
We need to go for a ride this year yet.
April 1,2,3 is going to be and out of the way adventure if you have time.
PM me if you are interested.
4 are in and maxing group at 6.

Do went from 4 mounts to 3 and back to 4.
Two part spline driveshaft.
Nightmares return from 2008 and 20017.
Doo needs a year of public funded R&D to sort out all the changes they made.
Drive belt sales should be up again.
I put my money on a totally new 9R before a totally revamped Doo.

Wait till the 900 king cat release. Gonna get real spicy in here.

While that would be nice I think we can expect some new graphics and colors and a $2000 increase in MSRP just cause why not.

A 900 would be nice, or a turbo, or a supercharger. Hell at this point if Cat just put on a decent set of boards people would be happy.

So here's a question, why are the Doo clowns so set on comparing the 9R to the turbo 850R? The N/A 850 is the competition for the 9R, or did the 9R just make N/A stand for "no longer applicable"?

I just hope BRP left the wobble clutch on the shelf, put loctite on the rear axle bolts, and has a hundred or so shortblocks ready for dealers to replace on warranty.
