Carrying Fuel - Matryx

I have a 900 snow checked. Fingers crossed they get the stop ride brake thing sorted out and they ship before the season is over.. My question is for the guys who had the Matryx chassis last season. What did you do for carrying extra fuel? I see some guys use the link system from skidoo. Polaris doesn't have a jerry can that works with their lock and ride system unfortunately. I saw a U-tube video of a guy buying the small behind the seat Polaris bag, cutting off the bag and using the lock and ride system to mount a jerry can. I saw a few guys last year with jerry cans between their legs and bungeed to the foot rail.

The Matryx fuel tank is smaller than the axys and I'm assuming the 900 will be harder on fuel than the 850. Any real world advice would be great. Thanks

Everything you wrote is correct.
I had previously always carried a LinQ 11L on my Axys mountain sleds. Last winter with the Matryx, my tunnel bag took up all the tunnel space, so I had no extra fuel.
Fortunately I have the cardiovascular system of the average 60 year old, so I never managed to run it out of gas. One day I did come down with not a lot left in the tank.
Fortunately I ride with a bunch of Skidooers, and they always carry fuel.

TKI and others make bolt on rails like the axys / pro had. To use whichever accessories you already had

or the LINQ system from doo.

i'm gonna be testing out the 2 gallon version this season. they come with a built in pour spout and just roll them up and stow them when empty.

I bought some T-track from Lee Valley tools and bolted to the tunnel using the factory holes, then put the tried-and-true Polaris rack on I've had since 2008. I had to cut small plastic shims to sit under the T-track due to the tunnel being slightly raised. The link for the T-track is below.
