I have a 900 snow checked. Fingers crossed they get the stop ride brake thing sorted out and they ship before the season is over.. My question is for the guys who had the Matryx chassis last season. What did you do for carrying extra fuel? I see some guys use the link system from skidoo. Polaris doesn't have a jerry can that works with their lock and ride system unfortunately. I saw a U-tube video of a guy buying the small behind the seat Polaris bag, cutting off the bag and using the lock and ride system to mount a jerry can. I saw a few guys last year with jerry cans between their legs and bungeed to the foot rail.

The Matryx fuel tank is smaller than the axys and I'm assuming the 900 will be harder on fuel than the 850. Any real world advice would be great. Thanks

Everything you wrote is correct.
I had previously always carried a LinQ 11L on my Axys mountain sleds. Last winter with the Matryx, my tunnel bag took up all the tunnel space, so I had no extra fuel.
Fortunately I have the cardiovascular system of the average 60 year old, so I never managed to run it out of gas. One day I did come down with not a lot left in the tank.
Fortunately I ride with a bunch of Skidooers, and they always carry fuel.

TKI and others make bolt on rails like the axys / pro had. To use whichever accessories you already had

or the LINQ system from doo.

I'm interested in this fuel option too. How are you liking it and how are you attaching it to the sled?
little late on the reply but it works very well. last season I ran a bushpusher tunnel rack to which I attached my tunnel bag and the fuel bladder using thick bungee cords that I make. once the bladder is empty, roll it up and stow it. easy day.

I don’t understand why guys just don’t use the Doo Linq adapters? Is it a brand hate thing or what? who wants to use bungee’s or straps and solid racks? I’m putting a set on my 9r so it simple to switch back and forth between sleds! I can’t believe Polaris hasn’t built something similar? Am I missing something ?

fair point. I’m replacing the bushpusher rack with one from canadasledparts that is not solid but a series of tubes across the bottom. the bushpusher worked great but the tubes work perfect for holding snow which we gotta pile on our tunnels during unsat conditions plus they offer more tie down spots for other stuff. I don’t want to carry a can. a bladder lets you store it wherever and secure it however you want and when empty takes up almost no space when rolled up and has a self contained pour nozzle.

I don't hate but do have a strong disliking of brainwashed doolaiders - i know right, hard to believe by some of my comments.
BUT, doo has the best accessories hands down.
Have been using aftermarket adaptor plates and there are pictures of the home made plates I have made for mounting linq accessories. BRP has their accessory catalogue nailed, there's a reason there are choices of artermarket linq bracket supports out there for all makes of sleds.

You're going to love the Armadillo fuel bladder. I put the 3 gallon one on my sled last year and love it. Just strapped it on top of my burandt tunnel bag then it keeps the weight closer to the front of the tunnel and takes up no additional tunnel space.
