It's total BS that they don't try to stop these scams. It wasn't the CRA one, but my grandma got scammed out of roughly $2500. I don't know how these pieces of garbage live with themselves ripping off the elderly like that. Despite the money going to Montreal police and the place who transferred the money were no help. Not to mention that the person working at the place IMO should be asking some questions when a 90 year old women is transferring that of money to see what it's for and if they are potentially being scammed.
