Spedo cable extraction

Im trying to do my driveshaft bearings and found the spedo key all binded up and busted off in the little hole at the end of the driveshaft, how do i get the broken part out? She's packed in there tight. Any help greatly appreciated

A sharp pick will usually pull it out. If not you can drill it out with a small bit.

Make sure you get the piece out of the speedo drive side also.

the speedo drive hub is pressed into drive shaft you can usually get it out with a good vise grip then pull broken speedo drive out and install hub back into shaft

So i drilled it out and got most of it out, how much of the new ket is suposto be sticking out of the driveshaft? The new key is 2-3/8 if that matters. Thx again for the replys

Thats what i was hoping you were gonna say, im about there. Gonna mock it up and that should tell me how close i am. Thanks a bunch for the replys, much appreciated
