Belt 4 exploded.
Belt 5 pulled a cord

(I was running both on deep days... so I guess I killed them both together)

700 Kms now and still original belt..... if my sled burnt 2 belts it would be sitting at my dealers front door for free advertising but 5 belts ??? Seriously...

It always could be worse! I had a dragon 800 and I had 6 motors on one belt! And that's the truth lol! Belts are easy to charge

Haha, as long as these are being charged to your credit card and not mine!

Graham Roberge from Squamish has blown 10 belts in 1000kms on his 850. He is so fed up that he has taken matters into his own hands and is spending a ton of time and money for a remedy. Poor guy.

I'd lose my chit, not directly at the dealer but at the dealer rep. That's BS.

Interesting thread. We have 3 gen 4 sleds in our group. Average of 600 km between the sleds, all ridden hard all on original belt. However the primary runs crazy hot all the time on all 3 sleds. It's not pinching the belt well at some point in the shift range, sleds that get ridden more at that slipping point of shift are popping belts more...I think

There was one other issue with one of our sleds in the group. Oil line coming off oil tank had a leak. Oil mist was coming down onto clutches. We caught it early. Dealer found 3 more sleds same issue. A tiny bit of oil on clutch face could explain blown belts as well as some sleds over reving more than others?

How long you going to keep buying belts? Has your dealer tried anything to stop this from happening? At what point do you keep buying belts?

Forgot to report belt 7. But that's ok because I blew belt 8.

Now on belt #9 at 1600km

I haven't paid for any of these belts. All have been free warranty replacements.

This is after following ALL of the suggestions on the internet.
