Craziest thing I have seen in the Alpine

So we were up in Red sands yesterday and rode to the very back. We stopped and saw a couple
Of Black rocks that started moving. We got a little closer and this is what we saw.

We were around 6500 ft and these two were heading up into no mans land.
2 moose. Pushing snow up to the middle of their Belly’s.

definitely never seen moose up that high before...... kinda weird, did see a moose just before morning glory turnoff on the clemina trail once, but thats like 5000' ish

Used to see moose up that high quite often around here till the wolves ate them all.

Back a few years ago, in between Elkford and Sparwood a buddy and I saw bull moose tracks come down off a ridge, across a snow covered lake, and dropped down into a drainage that was full of alders. The ridge was over 7000' and totally treeless. Whether he had the scent of a late cow or really knew where there was a good food supply we will never know. It is amazing where they will go for a piece of tall or to get food.

My uncle seen a beaver on top of a hill in goat ridge in Clemina once. He didn’t get a picture, he didn’t think she would like that! And he figured the guy going down on that beaver would of been really upset lol
