what to use to cover vent holes in skidoo hood?

Airbrush. I bought the lightweight hood, airbrush, paint and supplies. My nephew did the artwork. I let him keep the airbrush, and I have the hood hanging in my garage now.

Friggin Awesome.......

Just sayin...

did you guys just glue one big piece of mesh to cover all the vents?

or cover each one individually?

I would think each piece by itself would probably be easier to form it to the opening. Would just leave plenty of excess screen for the the glue bond with the good through.

I cut a rough piece, then trace out the hole on that piece, and then trim it to a half inch tab all around. Then I run a bead of silicone to the underside of the hood, and apply the screen. You can run a small bead after and flatten it out a it to get extra strength.

alright i am having problems with forming it around the holes and getting to stay long enough to dry

Silicone will skin over in about 15 minutes, just keep pushing it down and it will eventually stay. You can use some masking or packing tape also to help it.

I cut a slit on the corners so the tabs can bend on the corners too.
