**** that!!!!!! You have more rights here in Canada even with whip in Ontario and Dip **** here in Alberta. Good place to visit but wouldn't want to have to live and work there.

you must be joking.....read the U.S. constitution and then read the Canadian....In Canada nowhere does is specify the right to own private property...

as for the price comparisons in your next post, I just got back from Arizona and can say with authority that the cost of living down there is WAY cheaper than up here.... I rent my friends house down there and utilities and taxes per month are $235 U.S.... gas was $2.35/gal (59cents/L US)
Food, booze, everything else way cheaper.....

I had had thought that a few decades ago as well, but now there is know way I would want to be there, they are thirty years behind us and getting worse, ya we might have some extra crap to deal with, but happy to be not them..

We would all be so much better off if the states just absorbed Canada.

Yeah not making friends anywhere but in his own country. Meanwhile Turdeau is making friends everywhere but his own country? Can't knock Trump for that? He's a better leader than Shiny Pony is.

You might have that one a bit wrong rzrgade... Trump is not payed. However if they were going by what good they did Trudeau should be paid what Trump is getting and vise versa.

Well I repeat his word " I think I have to by law take $1, so I'll take $1 a year" So we have a over zealous Business man who is out to go down in history as the greatest president ever with his reputation at stake, who is without a doubt the best at hiring the best. Against our spoiled brat, who slotted in people not based on any merit at all. So we have an incompetent bunch of idiots negotiating against the elite .... how is this going to play out? Well at least we have Christy Clark who put in David Emerson for the softwood.

I did not realize he was taking no salary ... I am sure he looks out for himself ( they all do ) and I have no problem with that ... if he doesn't , he is too stupid to guide a country forward .

But yes , I am not liking our odds in these negotiations, not at all...

what does this have to do with Trump's rhetoric against Canadian business? He would be flapping his trap regardless who is in power. Also, we have had issues with mad cow as latest as Feb 2015, softwood has been ongoing for years. As for dropping our allies, the only good thing Chretien ever did was tell Bush we are not willing to send troops to Iraq in a fake war while Harper went on to say he was embarrassed to be a Canadian by not standing with the US. Anyway, you praise Harper and I praise no leader but point the good bad and the ugly for who ever is leading. For example, JT is way over his head and I believe he is very weak to negotiate / stand up to that idiot down south. In this case, Harper would have been a much better leader to represent our interests.

It seems to me that the past liberal government was really good at .. well not much other than insulting your largest trading partner ! Then in comes Harper and boom , I here no more about trade disputes/ softwood : mad cow etc etc ...
Bring in that anti American little prick who praises Fidel Castro as a great man & and a true friend of Canada .
Yeah the same dude who almost brought the USA to war ...

Fast forward to another liberal abortion of a government ...and look what happens again .
now we are back to that eastern mentality of arrogance with our biggest trading partner , we pull out of supporting them in the fight on terror for example . Etc etc ..
They made a dreadful mistake not factoring the remotest chance Trump could become president! Like it or not , trump has been talking of renewed nafta trade talks for months ! , prior to the election .. where was OUR guy ?

Let me get this one , flying around some carpetbaggers private island on our dime ...
While I agree this sucks ,we can not control what trump does ,we should of been much more prepared and I am not surprised at all by our federal governments handling of this .

As chitty as the commercials were , boy were they true ...
he is in way over his head !

you forgot to mention how much is costs to have medical insurance in the US. I have colleagues in the US that pay as much as $1500 per month for a family of 4.

I agree , but insulting one of the most powerful men in the world who has known ego problems AND has threatened to renegotiate our trade policies is ridiculous!
Don't think Trump has not payed attention to the arrogant little jabs , that JT throws his way , many prior to T being elected .
Guess what , we will all pay a steep price for his arrogance ...
I only need to hear JT brag about how his father got his brother off of criminal charges to make me hate this guy even more , if possible ...
Trump got elected wether we like it or not ! We should have had people in place to be prepared for this & and deal with it accordingly.

Our relationship with the US has been far superior with a conservative gov , apposed to the constant US bashing that the eastern liberals seem to somehow put forth .

Unlike JT , if trump says he's going to do something radical, you would be well advised to have a plan for that ... as there is a good chance , he will follow through.....

If the US was half as free as they think they are I might be interested in joining them but the fact is that they are the leading nation of sheeple and are run by corporations and rich families that own corrupt politicians on a level that we haven't even begun to see yet in Canada. Their economy is strong but prevalent social issues have the quality of life spiraling into the gutter.

I would have to disagree, I think we are in the same boat as the US ....
really I don't see much difference. I would suggest they are free to do more down there way more than we are in Canada . Way more ...
But everyone's definition of freedom is quite different....
I have spent a great deal of time in Arizona , we could only dream up here of the freedom they have in that state...
Take a look at the socialist agenda happening in Alberta right now for example .
If the proposed plan for the castle area turns into law ..
I would not be aloud to see certain areas of my own province , simply because I am forced to walk ....
That's freedom ?
