Sportsman 850 Coolant Flush

I'm flushing the coolant on a 2011 Sportsman 850. Has anyone done this before? From what I've read, you just pull the return hose off the rad and let it drain. Will that get all the coolant out?

I'm scared to give it a good flush with the garden hose in case this draining method does not get all the water out before I refill it. ...or is the only option to flush it with coolant?

pull the lower hose off the rad, elevate the rear end. it will be close enough to empty.
