Boxes are good, most of us still play with them today, Ha.

Today I added 5000 lb air bags too my Ford F-150 that has gvwr of 1630 lbs, and I get an allowance of 1100 lbs since I have a class 1.

So this allows me too pack 7730 lbs if the printing on the box "made in China" that the air bags came in is correct. LOL.

Looks like my Ford F-150 can pack another Ford F-150 with 2 sleds on a aluminum deck.

Who-Da thunk. LOL
Air bags add NOTHING to weight ratings. Absolutely ZERO. All they do is help to level the load. So, I hope you're being sarcastic.

Have we confirmed if a half ton can handle a sled deck, gear, two sleds and two guys in the cab yet? Or do we need another year to figure it out.

I have an older Tundra. They say its a half ton but I realize its smaller than other half tons. I put one sled in the bed. After doing that I think it would be impossible to carry two sleds on a 1/2 ton no matter what brand. 3/4 ton minimum and frankly I would prefer a 1 ton.

Who really cares if someone puts a sled deck in a half ton . Two sleds and deck still only around 1400 pounds I towed a trailer across Canada with 11500 pounds and never had a bit of trouble . I don't know why people get all bent out of shape when most lifted diesels prob are not fit to be on the road either but we don't hear people whining about them do we

I spent a few years working on highway trucks and after seeing some of the junk that came through the shop, I not all that concerned about passing this on the highway

funny how you got that pic, but couldn't get the pic of your scale readings. I'm guessing that truck weighs 2500 without sleds and deck.

GREATEST thread ever on S&M
Trucks I have owned since this thread started
2008 2500 Dodge hemi
2014 Ford F150 5.0L short short box
2015 Ford F150 Sport 5.0L BDS lift w/ 35s
2016 F350 Lariat 6.7 L diesel (current)stock and staying that way

I have an opinion about which is best for a sled deck and 2 sleds or 2 quads FYI I have weighed everyone of them with the deck so you can't BS me

So those of us with 2 wdr F-150's can rip out the light duty pumpkin with D-8 cat and weld in a Dodge 1 ton rear end that allows us too pack 2 sled decks with 4 sleds, 3 passengers, 5 dogs, and a Christmas tree. Ha.

Go big or go home.

Currently have an 2016 F350 6.7L with leveling kit and thats it and I can honestly say my 2014 toyota tundra with airbags handled a deck and two sleds better! More power too! Stock vs stock that is.
