Richochet skid plates Arrrived!

Ordered my skid plates a week ago and finally got them. I got the units in anodize black. They look pretty robust. Looking forward to installing them on my Can Am. :d

I was looking at them today, for a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 efi. Where did you get them from ? And if you don't mind what price. The best i can find around here is $ 500.00 out the door. Thanks for the info. Kelzon.

The price for a polaris is going to be way different than a Can-am. Most Can-am skids I have heard of run around $3-400 at most places, the Grizz, Brute Polaris and Suzuki's all seem to be $450+ almost everywhere.

Best I saw actual "Richochet Skid Plates" in Edmonton was 550 bucks, there are cheaper knock offs available but they are not as durable in my opinion. I paid 438 from Utah Sports(manufacturing Plant) that included shipping and Black Anodizing. I also paid 25 bucks in duty so still cheaper and I got the A arm and front skid to match my fron end colour. www.utahsportcycle.com I took a quick look but a set of skids for a Polaris 700/800 was $399 "natural aluminum" plus shipping. They have a good reputation and I have seen that some people have installed the cheaper set and not been happy. I shall be installing mine today:d

I got a full set for my 09 XP but the front plate had no access or drain hole for the front diff. Some thing to look for.

BTW, Mongrol, you can drill an access hole for your quad if you want.

Ok all done, wasn't that hard but it was little time consuming. I did discover that the previous owner hit a few thing it seems. A few dents and bumps typical I'm sure. One thing I did find is the aluminum foot braces were a little askew, had to use a jack some plywood and 35 psi in the tire plus a wackinator(hammer) to help things along. all in all I am quite happy with how it all comes together. A note to the maufacturers though, you should mention to take off the floor boards "before" you put this together. Didn't occur to me until I tried to put the foot plate on then the "hmm how I am I to tighten the bolts let alone put the nut on." light came on duh! I noticed that the two holes for the foot pegs on one side is drilled but not the other, another hmm. Pics should speak for themselves. Kelly

Looks really good.I was looking at getting these for my Grizz.They will definitely protect everything.the site I was looking at didn't have the floor board skids.Thanks for posting the site you got yours at.I will get mine there to.

Have had the richochet full floor board and all plates on my 09 grizz for a couple seasons now and am very pleased with them. Going over rocks and trees no problem

I noticed one thing that makes me appreciate putting the floor protector on was that the Aluminum bars were bent. I think having that extra support will be use to great advantage. Should make sliding over fallen trees easier.
