Here’s two clutch covers from my clutches. This is too confusing. One came on my 2019 Alpha and the other I bought as a spare. One has a serial number, one doesn’t and they have different part numbers.

Checkout the second from bottom balancing hole. They drilled that mofo right on the edge of the cover, in turn compromising the structural integrity of that section. I should put the cover and spring pressure guage in my press and take it to failure. It would be cool to see how many psi it takes to fail. Jeez, we are waaay past opening a can of worms and picking the scab. There are worms everywhere and the scab is gushing blood.

JMCX’s disappointing clutch cover.

Team can't be that dumb? Yes they can. 2007 was the first year that Team built the TRA for Skidoo. What an fn disaster that was. Hey jhurkot….how many belts did you go through that year bud? There was more wrong with those clutches than right and it was only marginally better in 2008 model year.

A lot ha ha. At least they didn’t explode and endanger human life.

The wide spread between the balance drilling makes me think the tech "chased" the balance around that clutch. crazy to see two side by side, think of all the material in a pile beside the one with no holes... a lot of mass

Would this crack happen to be right where the balance holes are drilled? Mthrfker. I’d say that clutch had less than 100km left ‘till blastoff.

Can you believe the chit that pops up almost on the daily? This is crazy.

at first it was fun, because I was like I told ya so.

this is just getting sad now. hopefully Cat can get this figured out

Sucks in general cause we all ride together. Sucks when a buddy is down cause of **** engineering.

not like they are going to blow up every time you ride.

but with the troubles cat has had this is the last thing they needed.

power sports aren't exactly booming, bad for the whole industry.

I know right? It’s totally sad now.
What did you previously know about Cat quality Lilduke? Did you know this was coming?

well I new about the clutch blowing up and had talked about it for 2 or 3 years now. and aparently they were a major upgrade over previous models.

my one friend in revelstoke was putting a new clutch on every 600miles. I chalked it up too buddy ridding really hard, but now it seems to be effecting the whole lot of sleds built in the last few seasons.
