Might need more snow for Bear Lake. Lotta big rock going into there.
Thanks for the warning. Dammit. I really wanted to cross over and hit that area again. It was fantastic variation in terrain that challenged my riding. And one sidehill in particular that scared the heck out of me. 150yards of success, or a 250’ drop of failure. Looking for that exact spot on google and I’m not finding it.

And it’s snowing an absolute storm up there again. Should be another 6” I hope by the weekend! I would like to go next weekend to Summer lake and work my way east to the back side of Dingley or Drop into Bear Lake or Mt Ruault. Just have to see what the snow Gods have in store this week.
Many years ago like 20 I went almost from summer lake up a drainage with lots of avy paths to a huge head wall and punched into the far back end of top of the world. We were sitting what had to be almost 10,000’ looking down at a lake with what looked like a cabin on it. Not sure if we were supposed to be in there but it was pretty awesome.

Possibly the fish lake cabin if you were at top of the world provincial park area near Lussier hot springs.

Brother went to St. Mary’s lake area today and it was an absolute dumpster fire all the way to 6500’. Total junk from what I understand. Thinking that I will be staying home this weekend if that’s the case. They were reading temps of 4c at elevation. Going to be high avy risks if we get snow on top of that crust. Damn.

Saw a short video on Facebook of Muskoka with Keith Curtis. Snow looks super heavy and balling up. Must be warm there as well
I’m thinking that sledding this weekend might be out for me. Still. The bowl side of Dingley S2 is calling to me. I might just load up and take a ride even if I don’t hit it that hard.

Has anyone actually staged at the Coal Creek staging area?

Looks like I will be hosting the FSA family ride to the rolling hills cabin on the 30th. leaving the Coal creek staging area at 10 am. I drive a orange Tundra and ride a 24 blue and black Pro so if you see one in staging it's probably mine.

Taking my son down riding the 28th. Where is the best to go up. Any areas to avoid? I think we are staying in Coleman. Everywhere full or 300$. Know fernie pretty well but looking for some advice as I’ve heard it pretty bad.
