163 3" vs 174 3"

just wondering if the 163 3" gets the same treatment when it comes to the lug spacing and weight loss (porting) that the 174 gets...

Any ideas or answers for a guy??

Sounds like it doesn't get the 174's special skid mounting location though.

Got it..

I just dont understand why they wouldn't incorporate ALL the improvements on BOTH the T3 setups...
163 could benifit from cooling reduction and ported tracks too...
JUst my 2cents

2lbs is lightweight... Hah

anywhom, that is my take on it. The 163 is only 6lbs light than previous model and the 174 is 16lbs than a comparable model, big swing. As for cooling I know in hard pack or spring conditions the 163 needs all the cooling it can get. My 14 with a 3" does get hot on the trail and it's not even spring yet.

They deleted the useless part of the coolers. The rear portion is still there and is where the majority of the cooling happens. They should have deleted half that cooler along time ago

So is that 100% for sure that the 174 gets more change than the 163? I thought it was just the suspension mounting points?

So they are going back to ported tracks again? They had ported ones then went away from them and now going back again.

Different porting. The bad ones had huge ports. These ones are basically slits

I saw a photo of a 174 and the small front cooler is half a big as a normal cooler. I was a bit puzzled on that.
