Well??? Any news bud?? Hoping for some good news, been watching the weather all day and it hasnt shown alot of promise...Loading up right now, still coming, last chance to take the kids this season...

Pins and needles...

Looking for Sunday for me... Would love go hear conditions.

I'll give Ian a call here in an hour or so if I haven't seen anything posted.

Rained here in town yesterday and there was anywhere from 6-8" of snow in the hills. Rode the rolling hills yesterday and got back at 7 pm but s&m was down. Catchme is here and the 4 of us will hit the hills along the coal creek trail for an hour or so this morning, then head by the rolling hills and cabin just about 11 ish as we head onto the lake (down and right of the notch) from about noonish onwards. Two green cats, black cat and black Nytro.

Rained a little overnight so might be a little more snow today.

Not to take away from the developing events in the tragic avalanche in Revy but to post something postive.....

We groomed the backside of McDermid Ck yesterday. The Tunnel Creek entrance opens on Monday, the 15th but may not be the easiest way to get there. One has to go through the Galloway Mill and find the right roads but well worth the effort.....

We did as best we could for the first groom and not the best conditions; it is a lot better than when we started. Enjoy and ride safe!

Well we made it to the rolling hill with the kids. Great day, decent snow, warm weather and lots of sun. Had the opporunity to meet Gascan and FoothillsM8, really nice meeting you guys in person.

Kids went crazy, my younger one was wild, jumps, climbs, killed some trees by accident, and managed her first sidehill, and numerous rolls LOL She also managed to burn a full tank of fuel... :)

Older daughter had a great time, her first trip to the mountains, and she did fantastic too!!

Great day!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend in Fernie. Staged from Morrissey on Friday, and Coal Creek on Sat/Sun. Snow wasn't too bad, and managed to find enough to get good and stuck in a couple times. First a hill climb, then a nice deep creek bed. Trails in are melting down low, but the snow in the hills was worth the trip.

Big thanks to Foothills M8 for showing us around, and to Shawnmcgr for showing us a few sweet spots north of the rolling hills. Had a great time, and now it's time to relax and let the muscles recover.

Here's one last shot worth seeing. This was taken from atop the ridge line where Shawn showed us a couple sweet areas with some deep valleys. This panoramic shot was taken facing north to east. Great view from the top of this ridge.

Great shot!

Got some video of you tearing up one of the hills and a good shot of you hitting that drop; off the rock. Should have that together and posted in this thread by mid week. Thanks for joining up with us. Had a great time.

Was a great weekend. No disappointments at all in the riding or the snow. Thanks Graeme, Ian, Shawn and Mark for a fine day in the snow on Saturday.

Anytime! Maybe next time we hit that back bowl...stretch the legs on that Cat!

Yes, the snow is still decent down there, especially in the shade or trees, wish I could have ridden Sunday!

You bet Shawn. Good call on your part to dig down and determine that Saturday was not the day to pull that hill. I am an adrenaline junkie but respect riders that know when to just say no. There will be another day.
