I would have liked to see a video comparison with both sleds breaking their own trail. Would that not be more of a defining conclusion than two sleds running up a packed trail at different times? Its more like a timed uphill drag race with minimum load on each sled. Does that make sense?

Ken, the first track over that hill was mine by a longshot, these boys would probably still be trying to scratch their way over the top this morning 4 days later. But in reality Avalanche conditions were Extreme that day i dont think anyone wanted to be poking the big stuff that day unfortunately.
yes, that`s only one hill, and my sled had another 25 pounds of fuel with bag full of tools on the back. you are the one that rode these two sleds and know which one pulled harder, i watched you go up the hill on both these sleds and know which one went up the hill with more speed, not saying any thing bad about your sled, it works good,
5 MPH more track speed is a lot, and it showed. My suspension was not set up right, and wanted to keep wheeling, it is set up now, thank you for taking me to Allen creek
and showing me the terrain, i had a good time.

what I take from it is this. Is Polaris guys are just going to have to face the facts and admit that we are on an inferior machine. As seen in the video the SkiDoo will take people to much higher places that no man has ever seen before because it is at least %25 faster and likely %75 more capable than any other sled on the snow. Just watch as the Polaris could not even get to the same spots as the SkiDoo. AMAZING isn’t it???

at 6500ft where this was shot only 19.5% faster LOL. But you can see it all joking aside, if you turn the sound off you can hear the wastegate releasing multiple times ( proboaby going to fast for ben ) and the sled wheelies over the top at a higher rate of speed, while the Polaris is just scratching at full throttle the entire way up no let offs and no wheelies. Remember i was there, dont need the video to see that LOL

Seriously or sarcasm? I saw them both go the same place in close to the same time. Where the doo showed its strength was when they hit fresh at the top and kept its speed better and was breathing the throttle but as far as the majority of the hill where there was a packed trail they looked very comparable.

It is an inferior machine, it makes far less HP at altitude, but like i said before. We all get to the same places so ride what works for you. If you like 130hp thats awesome man, ill ride with you all day long we will all be in the same zones having fun.
But when your poking over a hill or into a technical area, the turbo skidoo will be the first over, every time. Period. Its faster and makes more power. If thats not important to a person then you have lots of other snowcheck options lol

Ben is like 9.5ft tall, He drives that polaris like Keith Curtis. But when he gets on a skidoo hes like bambi testing out his legs for the first time. Just the same way i am when i get on a Polaris. Its what your used too.

I understand these machines are pretty trick right of the box but $18k on a snowmobile is getting pretty crazy..

If you add SHOT start to the RMK the prices are almost bang on so looks like both manufacturers price points are the same for similar product. But yah, expensive for sure.

I was more comparing how high the Doo had its skis in the air compared to the Polaris. Yea, yea, "more power" is going to be the come back. BUT I bet that would be the same a sea level.
Make no mistake, Ben, Niner, Chisco, and Paul and Sean, are very capable and very good riders, very good people to ride with, they love to sled and make their sleds work,
they spend a lot of time and money going to the mountains, testing products seeing what works and what does not work, last weekend they found a product that does not work
as advertised, it`s people like these that save other sledders from wasting their money on products that do not work, we all could use more people like them, Hats off to those

Yep, LOL
for guys like me, i love the skis in the air. To me thats fun. But perhaps skidoo should offer 2 versions of the T850, a climbing version with a lower attack angle like the alpha and different skid calibratiion to keep the skis planted for the guys that dont like that.
