Didn't sound like a twin. They very specifically zeroed in on the exhaust tip and the sound. pretty much all you could see was part of the ski and exhaust tip For those that did not see the video

It sounds just like my AXYS, maybe a bit raspier.

Sounds like some Axys Turbo's at idle.

175hp low boost pump gas. Why play the displacement game when you can add boost. The rumors of the triple have been around quite awhile. The only real group that is head over heals is the trail riders. Not that it couldn't happen, but Polaris just released the HO two years ago in the mountain segment. It has been a better performer than the previous Liberty, it only makes sense to continue with what their main Pro riders are pushing and that is boost.

The spindles also appear taller, which could mean an updated front end, or possibly a 36" front end which many guys coming off Doo and Cat complain the RMK is too wide. So it could appeal to the market share that Polaris is trying to pull away from Doo/Cat and add reliability as shorter A Arms would be stronger and less prone to bending. There could even be a weight savings by going to 36" which adds to the marketing. Or it could all be an illusion. lol

Boggles my mind why they haven't made that switch. Will be cool to see what they come up with.

maybe it will have a 16 inch wide mountain track
20 inch Brp bought out Omc for it's injection technology but could not build a engine reliable and powerful as the mighty snowcruiser maybe polaris has.....

not a fan of traction or going up hills? what about deep snow?

No, I just don't know what else you would have to brag about having if both sleds had similar tracks.

Oh. 50cc I almost forgot. Lol. But I guess you need those extra cc for the extra weight.

Yes and they should use inferior products so the head warps and the cranks fly apart, coupled with crappy wiring so it runs ok sometimes, this is gonna get the popcorn flying....

maybe it will have a 16 inch wide UTILITY track

fixed it for you.

So Maxwell if the 165 Doo 850 has as much track area as the 174 AXYS with only a piddly 800 motor, how come the AXYS totally dominates climbing and deep snow over the G4?

How will the 174 AXYS stack up against the new 175 G4?
will polaris be wanting ski doo to build them a light weight starting system too like shot?
I am a doo guy but i believe anything current is a great sled. i just should id stir the $hit pot :smiliestirthepot:

We will see what Polaris releases for 2018. I am just trying to compare the closest "Apples to Apples" scenario. I wouldn't ride a sled longer than 163 anyway because for that type of riding you might as well then bring Yamaha into the comparison.

ps real men use the pull rope. I laugh when the Doo boys compare the G4 weight to a Axys 3" with electric start.
