I am starting the process of getting my bibs warrantied for the wet butt, I also noticed some of the stitching is coming apart as well.

I've been very pleased with how MF has treated me over the years.
I wish you well.

Thanks,.. I'm trying to find my receipt to register my garments, I figure it will be a quicker warranty turnaround.

On the instructions on my can, they say to use that on breathable clothing. Quote : "to waterproof breathable clothing use TX.Direct"

read all the directions fernie....there is more on the back...ill get a pic. I was told by the rep that the one techwash process is ok......to maximize or make it like a new product the 2nd step of tx direct is recommended.

this is easier to read.

The instructions on the Green bottle (Tech Wash) are different. So where do we go from here???????

You have the TX. Direct product and I have the Tech Wash product.

geeez, I don't know fernie....i'm not saying you did anything wrong, I was just passing on advice as I was given and I can only repeat what the Nikwax help dude told me......in summary, Techwash by itself is good....Techwash plus TX direct is better....

But TX direct is no good by itself as it is not a cleaner.

That is good information. I didn't talk to a Nikwax dude but read about the Tech Wash being good. The people at Arc'teryx have a good video for cleaning and re-waterproofing GoreTex. I'll see if I can find it.

Washed in nikwax, treated and had a great day on the snow. No wet ass! And yup, quite a few stucks to test the gear.

Good to hear. I'm going on at least year 5 or 6 on my Motorfist Rekon jacket and bibs. Wash with Tek-Wash and treat with TX-Direct after, once a year and haven't had a problem. My only beef with the product was the gaitors on the bottoms of the bibs that aren't made to fit on a boot tight enough.
