No reverse is a pretty big sign of low compression. Check the compression and let us know what you find.

Dollars to donuts it was frozen water in the fuel. Same thing happened to me. Use Petro-Canada premium gas and/or use some Seafoam in every tank when it's really cold. Never a problem since then.

Sled runs excellent now! Pounded the powder for 5 hours and didn't miss a beat. Thanks Dazzler, there was moisture in the fuel. :) Fixed it with half a can of sea foam. I'll be using a little from now on.
