Hmm, wonder if the guy was hurt or alone?
Towed a sled with broken bars out from the back of chapple all the way to the truck last season.
Would never pay over a grand to chopper my sled out if it could be towed.

That was our group. Sled died at sunset. No way to get it out and through the creeks

I would like to send a big shout out to the Fkn assholes that stole the Jerry can and cut the DSS key off the Dash.
Not sure what else is missing haven’t been able to see it yet

Honestly never gave it a thought someone would mess with it

UNBELIEVABLE. !!!

Just bullchit! Wouldn't it be nice to catch them in the act? Back country rules boys. What happens behind the pine tree stays behind the pine tree.

Really! Someone stooped that low? Jesus I hate thieves. That's too bad some dick had to touch.

Be nice to catch one in the act. That's fair game at that point.

Thats the second machine I’ve seen vandalized this season. I think there is a lot Of
Unfamiliar faces in the backcountry this year which means the good snowmobilers are going to have to watch out for one another and make it known that there is etiquette out there. In 2019 I left a sled in a wide open bowl at Allan creek for over a month they never even took my spare belt. This year a sled in the same spot was stripped bare.

We left a kitty at the top of the waterfall on eagles at 5:00pm. Back at first light just to find out that both belts and the secondary were stripped from the machine. Absolutely unbelievable how a waste of skin could think that it was an acceptable idea. Sure made for an eventful day.

Brutal, a buddy of mine had his diamond drive grenade on his M8 in Allen a few years back. He had it choppered out since any hill was super icy (we tried for most of a day to tow it out). The sled was on the mountain one day before the chopper grabbed it and it showed up missing the tools, spare belt and plugs...

Anyways, pray for snow, I haven't been out there since the 6th but from what I gather the whole province needs a good reload and then some

I dunno what to say about those stories, I cannot believe that someone would go out of their way to pack that stuff out.

Makes me wonder if a phone call was made for assistance locally, and the word got out and they went Back??? Who knows, 2020 is making certain people crazy IMO.

I can. People are pieces of chit. Good people seem to be few and far between these days, and “sledders” are no exception. If you broke down on the trail at the end of the day, guys would at least stop and ask if you were all good. Now, your lucky if anyone even slows down as they rip past you. Don’t get me wrong, there are good people, but for the most part, the general public are oxygen thieves.

Fully agree... expect the average person in the world to be a lazy douche bag opportunist, and you will be less disappointed when things like this happen. The rest of us can make a difference when we go out of our way to help, and watch for the douches.

Did Valemont / Blue River get the rain to the top creating what would make an unstable layer for after the next snowfall?

Looking at the Valemount Alan Creek Cabin Web Cam it is dumping in them hills of Valemount and Blue River. Checked out the Highway cams, same, all the way up past McBride. Were heading to Valemount this weekend and will enjoy the pow, collect some photos. Will post Saturday and Sunday.

We road Chappel today. Trail was good going up. The snow at the start (gas drop) was a bit wind blown, was fresh powder about 1 1/2 feet, as you worked towards tiffiney it was about 2’ deep and even areas where it was around 3’ deep fresh powder. On the main lake there was about 2’ powder untouched anywhere. We and many others played all day. Ran my new turbo out of fuel and down to 33% remaining breakin. Lots of areas in the back are still untouched as people haven’t got got in there yet. It was snowing good when we left as well. Trail going down was very whooped and rough. Hitting Alan tomorrow
