Its that time of year again. Believe it or not, our winter starts in August and it starts with a bang!
Since it’s incorporation in 2004, the Valemount & Area Recreation Development Association (VARDA) has been diligently working alongside many partners to improve the prosperity and economic state of our small community and the security of public recreation. It is no secret that Valemount’s world-class terrain and high-quality snow conditions provide mass appeal for the mountain sledder and other winter sport enthusiasts.
VARDA has worked extremely hard over many years to ensure that snowmobiling and our winter visitors are the focus of our efforts. We work diligently to try and provide the best experiences possible for our visitors.
The success of our tourism industry has come from years of hard work, but also great relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, land mangers and our members. Our stakeholders play a very big part in our success. VARDA strives to make Valemount one of the most sought-after four-season destinations in North America and we cannot do it alone. The intention is to maintain, as well as grow, Valemount’s recreational opportunities and to do this, we rely on assistance from our partners and stakeholders.
Our sponsorship program is on NOW and runs until early September. Deadlines are tight as we need to have all of our materials created for the trade show season. We have adjusted our levels and options this year as well as added some amazing incentives for your investment in our group. Take the ESSENTIAL level for example. For a $1000 marketing expense, you receive your season pass for the year, PLUS six day passes to share with your friends and you get to brag while sitting in the shelters with your name on the Major Sponsor Signage. This is just one example as there are many more incentives available depending on which level you choose.
