Would like to check out and clear some south trail this weekend the 18 and 19. Will post time and place after the meeting wed. night. So if you are still interested keep a eye on this thread please.
We will be working on the South trail this weekend. Clearing any fallen trees across the trail or laying on the ground. We will need quads and if you have a chain saw or not we need people just to help move the stuff thats cut. Meet at the clubhouse which is right beside Elk Island Sales at 10:00 AM. Wait there DO NOT UNLOAD. We will travel a little then unload. Bring lunch for a wiener cookoff
Sunday will be the day. Had 3 people show up today me,myself and I. Not to much help but Sunday at 10 at the staging area be there PLEASE. Dont unload there we will travel then unload Thanks
Thanks for all those people that gave up their nice Sunday to come and chuck some lumber. We have a nice south loop cleared of ALL fallen trees. We even rerouted a trail from crossing ponds. Now I will add some signs and next we will get into the north trails. More lumber tossing and trail smoothing out needed from the ATV activity in the area. Thanks to the 8 who came and helped. They are all members of the Fort Club and S&M
It was a good day and the weather was perfect. Thanks for the Moose Kuba Glen Here are a few pictures. Sorry I did not get more, I never thought of it until almost the end of the day.
Glen i would think the wind we had over night and all this week we might have to check see what trees might fell over this week on the south trail around bud lake.
we were out on the north trails near the bruderheim pit (to the west) and there were a few trees across the trails.we were not equipped to deal with trees.this was on nov/09-08.do we want to do another trail clean up?
