What about buying a rifle?

Yep you are good on anything non restricted once you get your license. Can I give you some advice that was given to me? If you are thinking of buying restricted guns buy all the fun guns first. With Trudeau in power they will be the first to go and there is a chance you will be grandfathered and allowed to keep them. Once they are banned they are gone forever.

Don't get in a rush. Be awhile before the RC's do the background checks and send you a license. Then awhile to get a restricted gun approved for purchase. Its a waiting game.

Yes hard to get a gun ordered in. With covid and what the US is going through with Biden wanting to ban guns as well the US is on a buying spree and guns and ammo are in short supply.
