XM chassis is too big a hit, it's not going anywhere yet. I am sure there are things waiting in the wings or at least close to being ready for production such as a new chassis and more powerful etec powerplant but until someone else steps up with big innovation they will stay sitting on the shelf.

I think your right

In the end...

the manufacturers will not do anything DRASTIC unless they fear that they are going to lose the edge in sales.

You won't see 3" tracks or carbon fibre parts unless they need to... to make the sales.

In the manufacturing business.... it's like microsoft, or apple.

They have soo much on the shelf, just waiting to be released.... but why? If they can still make a good profit without breaking the cookie jar, why would you?

To get good sales for a year or 2? It's long term for them... Like it or not.

The game.

Anywhere the snow is deep, and the hills are steep
They've got a chassis that's still a hit, and the best powerplant on the snow. I really think the only thing we're going to see is a slight diet. That airbox/hood/headlight assy could definitely use some weight loss!

And guarunteed they have a 900 or 1000 etec built and being tested, but we won't see it for a few more years at least.

I've heard about the Etec 2 that was supposed to be in response to any of the competitors moves… pretty sure its just the Etec that is used in the Evinrude series of engines. Who knows though :noidea:
