My buddy was glad to get rid of his 150 and went back to a 350. Its nice to have weight on the steer axle.

I still like my F350 with a custom flat deck. Great for the two of us with sleds and gear. I would do it again.

I went from a 1500 gas back to a 2500 diesel in September, as well. Wasn't a power problem, just got sick of white knuckling when towing the camper in any kind of wind. Also have a sled deck I haven't used since I sold my last 2500. Not regretting it one bit.

My buddy sold his F350 and went with a new Platinum 1/2 ton with the heavy duty payload and hauls 2 sled on his deck and went to Sicamous with it and had no issues. Got weighed at a scale and he was under with all his gear and bags etc...

HD payload is not available in platinum trim. Must be a lariat, as it is only available with 18”wheels. The lack of options on the HD payload keeps a lot of people from ordering it.

Kinda cool. I like that it seems to eliminate a ramp. The ability to carry three sleds would be cool but I would think this is 1 ton territory. Sure is pricey though.
