Painting plastic

Thought I would paint a couple plastic sleds for Grandkids. Paint said for plastic but it does want to stick worth s.... Do I have to put a clear coat on them or is plastic painting a no go? Thanks

I believe you are supposed to use an “adhesion promoter” when you do plastic....

Lol Didn't do any of that but thanks guys for the information for next time. Just cleaned with paint thinner and sprayed the kids sleds. Going to be fun to see how fast it gets scratched off by the icy snow.

C-max is a division of NAPA and they are just strictly for paint and body materials, for future reference, they can let you know which adhesion promoter and paint etc to use. 118ave and 183st
