Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12

Was the first sledder in caribou basin and the snow was like cement. Poor vis. But still better than coming home and working. There's some real nice chutes In There I'm gonna pull in the next few weeks. This weekend the conditions weren't safe enough for me
We saw you guys coming back out early and thought the snow was the same disappointment as Keystone

Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12

Anyone been up to 51 lately? Still at the 2km or have they plowed in further? Getting conflicting reports, some say the trailer is fine others say you need a deck. Are units having to go up the logging roads? I dont care either way but the enclosed is sometimes easier, throw all the gear in with 4 guys and everything stays dry.

Anyone been up to keystone?

Caribou sounds like a bust but you never know with the BS meter.

Thanks

I wouldn't believe what a lot of people say on here about crapy snow conditions. This is what we found in december when everyone was saying boulder was pounded out, no good snow anywhere. We were considering going somewhere else and i'm glad we didn't. i guess not too many people venture off the beatin path. these pics were within 2km of the cabin.

i agree.

however when the sun and warm temps set snow, it doesnt mater how far off the beaten path you go... pounded out or fresh areas still get set up.
