For the third year I will once again be posting current and accurate snow conditions for the surrounding mountains from my weekend rides. I will be straight up front with you and tell it like I rode it so you can plan your trips to Revelstoke knowing what to expect.
I hope to see you all out for this winter. The forecast is for a bigger snow year than last. Bring it on.

Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12

It will be interesting to see what happens this year. Spring, summer and fall have all been 3 to 4 weeks later in my opinion so with Enviroment Canada calling for more snow and colder temps this year you wonder when it will all start. I've been out moose hunting in the top blocks and it been warm and mild with only a skiff of snow at 7000'. The first chance that I can get the sled out the ATV is going away. Keep checking this post.

Thanks Greg

Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12

Snow level has had to have dropped considerably last night. I was at the Blue lk. cabin hunting yesterday and there was 4 inches of fresh. It was coming down hard when I came down at 3 pm and rained all the way home to Knutsford and part of the night. Wouldn't be surprised if there's more than a foot by now or more up high.... Btw Cummings lk. is where the snow started which is just over the 5000 foot mark. Won't be long now.....................

The farmers almanac said colder but lots of snow, they said the same for last year, lots of snow. Seems they are pretty accurate year to year, looking forward to an early nov ride!! 

Hope the snow keeps coming. Have always been sledding the first weekend in November and I don't want this year to be any different.

Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12

Fact or Fiction? One of my guys said he talked to a another that said he was going 29/30 for a ride?? Will there be enough snow true or false? I know there is no crystal ball. Any insight?
