For the most part it looks like you are on an established trail, therefore mud crossings are less likely to offend us "fun police"

However, I am going to be the fun police and ask where the fawk are your helmets?

Hahahaha. If I'm not mistaken, there was a long thread about that last year that last year where TMO was very clear about his position regarding helmets.

as for this fun police thing, that looks fun, dont get me wrong i would be doing that too if i had a 4x4 quad but my dad brought up a good point, at the lake he lives at and been up there for 40 years he said that hes went quading down some trails, and any low spots that he has seen wet and dry are now just completely rutted and impossible to cross unless you have a big bore with big mud tires, even when it drys its just completely destroyed and rutted.

"All pictures were taken on marked trails, please do your part in helping keep atv'ing sustainable in the future. Pack out what you pack in and stay on the trails."

No marked quad trails in the Whitecourt area. There are a lot of marked sled trails but not where the pictures were taken.

I wasn't trying to be funny. Its for the Google searcher. My opinion is if the trails/cutlines do not BAN quads, then they are marked legal trails. Every video posted to Youtube or the like should include a similar disclaimer. I borrowed that one from Ostacruiser. Does everyone who actually rides believe his videos are taken on marked ATV trails? LOL

There are no "marked" trails anywhere. But this doesn't stop the prying eyes of the "enviro-activist" from searching up every video on the internet and saying that people are destroying the environment. Cutlines in Alberta are marked legal trails.

What did they ever do with the old ski lodge that was there. Public Lands was looking to get rid of it onto another association

I do believe they sold the building to someone from Whitecourt, not sure what they did with it though, last I seen it was about 6 or 7 years ago, it had been moved and was sitting over on thompson road just off of east mountain road. It was a big shack thats for sure, too bad some punk a$$ kids decided to vandalize it. I would definitely like to see somebody take a shot at re opening that ski hill, there is some nice terrain out there

I'm heading that way with KBrunlees for the weekend. I don't suppose you have a coordinate for the ski hill handy?
