Bad decision for sure, but people are getting way too bent out of shape over this. Time for everyone to take a breath!

Well he could have just hit it over the head and then stick it in the jugular with knife would have been a heck off a lot quicker then that crap . I might sound barbaric to some but its a very quick death .

Do cops carry a knife?
I know most carry a multi-tool of some sort, but I dont think many, if any, carry a hunting type knife on them just in case they get in an altercation and the knife ends up in the wrong hands.

I won’t think this was the correct way to do this, HOWEVER, should the officer have drawn his side arm and shot the deer,( what I think shoulda happened) I am guessing that there would be bitching about excessive force etc. A no win situation. I am guessing the right way was to cal Fish and Feather and set up a blind so nobody could see..... How long does that take? Think about waiting for your shot of morphine while waiting to see the Dr about your broken bones.
