How assinine is the people running the City of Edmonton?
So now we go from "listen to the doctors and science" when we add restrictions to "let's see what the people want" when it comes time to remove restrictions??
They had 3 weeks to "do a study on what they should do" ....every other community and city did, why does the City of Edmonton wait till March 1st and then say, we're going to put out a poll and see what the people want??
This is pure mis-management by city council!! This only put unnecessary stress on businesses (restaurants, retail outlets, etc) having to engage negatively with their customer base. Is it fair that the 18 year old waitress at the local pub or restaurant takes more flack when people refuse to wear a mask just because Mayor Sohi wants to play politics?

I was a bad ass in Edmonton today. Went maskless all day. I haven't worn one in months except flying but today I made sure of it

Doesn't sound like the provincial government is going to let them keep an independent mask mandate or other public health related restrictions.

Damn bus driver running the city now. When the higher branch of government proposes no masks and less restrictions, they lower municipality thinks they can ignore the provinces decision. Highly annoying.
Does the city have a provincially funded health department? Or are they following their virtue signalling, morally leftist compass? These liberals will do anything to show that they’re morally superior to the rest.
Kenny is passing a law that doesn’t allow smaller municipalities to over ride their decisions like this, thank God.
Funny how at the end of the survey they ask gender, race and socioeconomic background, etc. I thought we are all equals and race doesn’t matter? White male responses are likely null and void.
Here’s a thought, no one is stopping you from wearing a mask if you feel the need for further protection. Wear one and stop pressuring and dividing the population.
