Looking for resort suggestion for a trip.Also some resorts that you have heard of that are not the best to stay clear of. Rather have a good experience.Planning on a January of February trip. Thanks in advance.

we liked Punta Cana

we stayed at the occidenatal grand flamenco or flamingo lol cant remeber,,,

the resort was not too big, 5 al a carte restaurants and 3 awesome buffets and only 15 minute walk around the whole place most rooms 5 minutes to beach and lots to do,,,,

down the road was the big resort with casino we did visit but if you stay there its so big most rooms are 15-20 minute walk to the beach or you wait for lil bus thingy

Go to Cuba instead. Jibacoa is one of the nicest resorts I've ever been to. We'll meet you there in January.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe in Rio San Juan for our last two trips to the D.R. It is a nice resort. We read the reviews both times before we went and there was a lot if negativity towards the place. We enjoyed the 4 weeks we have stayed there over the last 3years. If you consider this resort please feel free to contact me I would love to give you some tips on tours and stuff. It is a big resort. All rooms only a short 2 minute walk to the beach, lots of drinking opportunities and the kids aged 7 and 9 loved the swim up bar. I highly recommend but then again we are simple people and do not let the little things bother us. Most complaints that we read were about the weather and well if the resort controls that so be it.

When I was there I stayed at the Puerto Plata Village Carribean resort. It was great, pool was nice with the swim up bar, dance club, 3 restaurants. Rooms were clean and well looked after, although I was there for a slowpitch tourney and me and the rest of the team were drunk most of the time so it might have just seemed nice!

well maybe we should prewarn the peeps that you may be coming. they can then hide all the matches etc. the police can have your accomodations ready when you arrive. ya may want to up your insurance as i'm sure they will find it suspicious, what with you being at the scene of various fires, yes, still trying to light the friggin matches. hehe
