It went up a tracked hill and did a Sidehill. Pretty sure a guy could have done that on an 1982 El Tigre 5000. 😜

I’d give you everything I own if you could accomplish that line on an 82 el Tigre 5000

right…if they have a 800, 850 or 900 … I’m getting one.
No 850 poo or doo could go where my 800 Alphas went… yes pipe, head, tune, clutching… so this catylist gonna be fun.

Those old 5000-6000 Tigre’s leafer’s were great deep snow machines but my money would be on the Catalyst. Some guys ran those old 6000’s leafers with 700 Cat Twin and 156 track with 2” plastic paddles, they were nearly unstoppable🤓

Not sure any mountain riders care but their 2024 release is March 7th.

Hopefully they show their cards on the big motor. I bet that will keep the guys running for another season and then we can really see what this thing will do. I hope some rental outfits buy the 600, I'd get the wife to try one.

I doubt you will get anything more than we have a larger cc engine in development. They have been fairly quite on this new chassis only releasing bits and pieces. March 7th they should release full details. The chassis looks like it has potential for success but only time will tell. I think you will see more test rides next season maybe even a early release of the bigger engine. Their marketing has a few gaps for sure but I believe they will sell all they can produce.

or sell entry level sleds at Bass Pro... guys still buy the old chassis everyday... could just keep making them and sell them cheaper than the +20K N/A sleds of the other guys?
If they could get the M4000 sleds under $10k and the M8000 sleds at $12k-ish I bet they would sell a bunch. They are basically a parts bin sled, no meaningful changes in ~5 years so shouldn't be that hard to keep the cost down compared to competitors.

And they still work pretty good. The way the prices are skyrocketing the industry is slowly killing itself.

that's my problem with cats current offerings. Its 20k for an M8000....WHAT? like you said, make them 12-14k and they are still a great sled guys would buy them. Polaris and skidoo dont have anything for less than 19k so if you want to offer old tech, make it affordable and they will sell a pile of them.

Yep, would be pretty good to spend $12k on an old used up chassis that the new state of the art Non-turbo doo can't keep up with....
