Yep - I can't say enough about switching to 2 - 6V Trojan batteries.
Night and day difference. ha!
Thanks Todd - your post on LED bulbs just cost me another $56 bux! lol
But seriously - great tip - I'll be switching out my 1141's for those LED's.
I installed half of my light to these. Just need to do the rest. Work great. View attachment 131036

6v or 12v doesn't matter...total amp hours matters. Most people replace 2 - 12v Group 24 batteries (about 56lbs each) with 2 - 6v golf cart batteries (about 66 lbs each). The 6v batts are waaaay taller....more lead = more amp hours. Even a 12v Group 27 battery is about 62 lbs...better.
So:
2 - 12v G24 batts = 80x2 or 160 amp hours
2 - 12v G27 batts = 100x2 or 200 amp hours
2 - 6v GC batts = 220x2 or 440 amp hours at 6v....220 amp hours at 12v.
are the bulbs 56.00 each or how many do you get for that price seems a little high if for only one bulb
looks like grubs lights would be the way to go alright, the ones tom listed where $25 per light, ouch.
