Just pulled into town this afternoon. The west booth trail from Peaks looks to be more dirt than snow around full speed.
We invited a tag along from Ontario. He's never been to the mountains snowmobiling before. He had a post on Alberta sledders. I gave him our days we were here. Told him we are staying at Peaks. And riding from Peaks. (I was wrong on the riding part)
He's at Basecamp next door. His rental sled was just dropped off
So will be doing the hillbilly 3 way to the parking lots.
We took his rental car for dinner and scouted the parking lots. Pretty thin. Will probably be overheating tomorrow. Buddy from the sled rental place was up on Boulder today
Said his sled was running hotter than normal on the trail. Said about 1ft of fresh up top. Really crusty below.

Guess we'll see for tomorrow. Provide you all with a better disappointing update.

So Boulder was tracked. We didn't explore the trees for 2 reasons. 1 guy from Ontario was struggling. The elevation is hard to breathe for him. Also he's coming off a 4stroke trail yammy to an 850 summit. Different beast.

my throttle kept sticking. Seems like its in the cable. Got really bad coming down. Decided its smarter to just tow it. Crossing the bridge by the parking the 154 burton doing the towing was strugling
so I'd jump off the dead sled and help push and jump back on.
Well the last little corner with the big ditch to the right
Just before that i jumped off to push couldnt get back on
sled went over
rolled and somehow pulled back up to the trail. But not without wrecking my hood.

Thankfully another group helped us pull that dead sled of mine up onto the deck. So if you boys are on here. Huge shout out. Really appreciate the help.

Sorrry about your sled Ryan. That sucks. Looks like the same paving job on Boulder we have seen hundreds of times over the years. They gotta fire that crew. They even pave around little trees. 😂

Bumped into Jumping Jack and Tina at Peaks. They were kind enough to let us tag along with their group.
It was a pretty good day. Of course the snow could be better. But it was still a great day.

Infinite had a throttle cable so changed that and my sled ran great.

Hit Frisby today.
