Was zero and puking at the summit last night on Rodgers pass on my way through. Was one of my worst trips out to the cabin. It poured so hard most of the way from castle junction to salmon arm and foggy and people that shouldn’t have been on the road in those conditions.

Rode Boulder Thurs/Fri it was actually better than I thought it would be, low visibility so stuck to the trees, when we left the cabin Friday evening it was snowing hard. No damage to the sleds either. The forecast looks terrible but there’s snow up there and lots of untouched as vis was so bad that nobody travelled too far back.

Ya was decent couple of days and no carnage! I bet whoever went up yesterday hit it good

Hi everyone. Was gonna take my 13 year old down to fernie Wednesday but thinking there’s not much point. Considering going to revy instead. Issue is I’ve never been before. He’s been going for 3 years now and can handle himself. Any advice? Where to avoid. Where is a good starting place for us never being there before? Thanks for any help you can give.

If you stick to the groomed parking lots, trail fee, and cabin areas - and there are only two of them - it's very simple to get to the cabins and get back down.
Like any place, once you go past the cabins and get off the trail, it's best to be grouped up with someone that knows the area. And to have all the safety gear, GPS tracking so you can backtrack home, etc.

I would go to Frisby. Much easier to find your way around

Boggles my mind how the busiest club in western Canada can have the shittiest camera setup. I've said it 10 times on here before, get ahold of the guy that did valemonts cam... it works flawless day or night 24-7! Not sure if it's one of the board members brother or GF that did the instal and service but they seriously suck!
I reached out to the Revy club a couple years ago. Offered to take a look at their setup at Boulder at no cost to them, and offer suggestions to improve reliability. They didn't seem to interested at the time.

Offer stands though if any club members are reading this.

Just wanting to give credit when its due, instead of always whining. The boulder trail was groomed, and in fantastic form after a day of riding. We got out late, and down late. Trail was mint. Snow, and everything else were crappy, but the grooming was spot on.

Anybody have GPS co-ordinates of the tower on Boulder? Putting together a ride for a friend and don’t have my GPS with me.
