    Random Camping

Unfortunately this is what happens. To help ease your mind we are very respectable campers and our site will be cleaner when we leave than when we arrive. The whole group of us (8 people ages 1 year to 68 years) are all non smokers. So no worries that we will be flicking butts into the...

    Random Camping

Well thanks to fire bans and OHV bans and our wonderful government closing/forcing us out of our usual camping/quadding area. It is time to look for a new area to go. We prefer to random camp but are open to campgrounds also. So this year we are thinking of going towards Rocky Mountain House...

    Lynx Creek/Castle Falls

Havent been on the site for awhile. Just wondering if these area's are good to go after the flooding this year? We were out there last year and the trail to the North Kootenay Pass was impassable. Anybody got any suggestions< heading out this way on Saturday for 10 days. Thanks

    Dodge Transmissions

Thanks to everyone who gave input. I got a tranny built from a guy out by strathmore who was a transmission shop owner for 20 years before retiring from owing his own shop and now does it as a hobby for something to do. It seems to work well so far. Thanks to DJ for willing to get me one done...

    Dodge Transmissions

Just got home after a weekend of camping. Had to do a roadside fix on a transmission line again. This time it has cooked my transmission. Figured I would have to replace it after the first time running it dry and overheating it. (Wife was driving it that time). So I am wondering what a person...

Dumbest thing ever in an RV

My Raptor trailer has a switch on the panel to turn off the outside speakers. My biggest PO about the trailer is when we got a hail storm the kids went in to watch a movie and it turns out the supposable cd/dvd/am/fm/mp3 player aint got no dvd on it. so no way of watching a movie. Talked to...

Snow and Mud Crowsnest Pass Ride August 23 - 26, 2013

Heard today that the Atlas area is good to go. That was from one of our vendors who told me that today. Hopefully we can help out down there because if everybody goes somewhere else they are going to lose a lot of business and really hurt their economy.

Snow and Mud Crowsnest Pass Ride August 23 - 26, 2013

Was just down in the Pincher Creek area to do some riding. Got home last night July 14th. Not sure of the Atlas area but the Lynx Creek area has been badly damaged by the flooding. The trail to the snowmobile cabin is in fairly rough shape the bridge is unuseable, trails to the North Kootenay...

    Blown Attic Insulation

WTF are you on. Talking about insulation and you come here flogging your purses. I think that before anybody here spends $2700 or so on a purse they would buy some safety equipment to take sledding or pay for the attic to be insulated.

    Alcohol + sledding

Dang. Use one wrong word and I get snowballed. Your right imdoo'n this site is not needed of we can't sled and quad and have the same drinking and riding thread every year. So to clarify things I am against drinking while sledding or quadding. Even if the machines are parked for the 5 minutes it...

    Alcohol + sledding

Sorry but no drinking and sledding or even quadding should be acceptable. Not on the hill or in the parking lot. Don't get me wrong I like to have a drink or three. But when you have to operate a motor vehicle, sled, quad, vehicle there are more appropiate places to quench that thirst. I...

    Kitchen Cabinets

Sorry to say but my kitchen cabinets came from Totem and were hung by myself. For the cost of the cabinets and the 13 years they have been hanging on the wall they are doing awesome. Yes cabinets could be a pain to hang and yes you do get what you pay for.

Mandate the use of Helmets? - Provincial legislation required?

They should be mandatory. And sorry when I'm out riding I don't carry my first aid kit so I got no rubber gloves to put on to scoop your brains up so sorry I wouldn't be much help to anybody injured.

Mandate the use of Helmets? - Provincial legislation required?

Don't need a law, but everyone o. Here say they wear a helmet but it keeps happening. There is a law for motorbike helmets on the highway why doesn't that cover off road vehicles. If you are on a bicycle there is a law.

    Slave Lake

Everywhere from Manitoba /sask border just into BC. From southern Alberta to north of Fort McMurray. This was supposed to be a quick trip but now it's been seven days and maybe another 5 to go. Came up to replace a fan hub assembly on an international water truck, but after that ended up doing a...

Go with the Canon 3Ti. Awesome camera. You don't have to buy the canon lenses there are many aftermarket ones that are a lot less money and just as good or better. And even if all you do is shoot on automatic mode change up the lenses to give you the same but different pictures
