I hate the look of that mono rail. The shocks n'chit look very exposed to me. All the single shear points too..

The center shock is only supported on one side of the bolt....

Shocks look nice though. I like the anodizing
Shocks do great where located

But the fts lower bolt can fall out from the shock bushing grabbing the bolt and loosens it and it falls out

There is a aftermarket bushing that had knurled points that stops this

Or you can drill and through bolt it like I did after bolt went Mia like mine did , and never look back with bolt and nylock nut

guys that ride hard are breaking those rear skids and shock mounts. Its just a poor design. Pretty sure the manufacturer would have in their product specifications not to mount a shock like that, basic engineering. Must be the same guy that design the P85

That include freight and PDI? Also I think some dealers were charging over MSRP on backed out of snowchecks. Add a skidplate, jug of oil, spare belt and BC or Sask tax and that's a $30k sled in the back of your truck.
Yes

Same. Was hoping they'd be under the 20k mark.

At those prices. I feel I'm better off switching brands and joining the rest of my group on turbo doos
Thats where myself and a buddy are at. Seems like joining the frenchies is inevitable.

Do they have any of these 858s on the snow? They should have been out there creating some hype. So right now is the only opportunity to order an 858?

Well, I expect Doo will still want close to MSRP, and a 2024 expert with a small guage is $28850 OTD at MSRP using BC tax structure and I expect a 2025 snowcheck will be at least $500 more. If they discount a few grand that changes things I guess. The CAT dealers I know are discounting the sleds to ensure they are somewhat competitive with other NA's and for me it is $5000 difference when I price both of them. That might be too much for some to justify the few times a Turbo is really needed. Sure, having the best of the best at all times is awesome and lots with money won't care, but it might matter to some.

Some people are just happy settling for second best I guess? 🤷
Hey already have a turbo 2smoke crusher, I'll take my chances on non turbo low snow weapon then I'll cover my bases, then I'll be out playing not bitching. Not willing to bend over for a dealer thrill, just need to be patient and that sub $15k toy will come around.
From what I hear, every joe wants a turbo, so that should help drive non turbo pricing lower and then I'm golden.
