196G! I didn’t think they were that much. But has 1020hp which is cool!

90k for a model 3 performance now with no rebates. I thought the carbon tax was a rebate program for technology like this???
My 2021 3500 Denali duramax cost that and it’s more useful than a ecar.

Its a luxury sedan, not a pickup truck. There is million dollar+ 1000hp gas cars out there that can't haul anything with and get like 3 miles a gallon.....

I guess I have a luxury truck. Lol
Looking at the interior of that Tesla it does not look luxurious, it has I iPad screen like the new G5 summit.

I thought, and correct me if I’m wrong, the model 3 was marketed as affordable, weren’t they 45g?

It’s not like this thread is about a Tesla plaid at 200g

It says in the website, for cold climates the long range and/or the performance package is recommended.

Inflation i guess. I rember a time when you could get a decent new truck for 45000. Now a G5 summit is 30g ffs....

And dont you have a denali? Seems to me new trucks are pretty fancy compared to back in the day...

Fancy truck...lol

Yep fancier on the inside than a tesla by the looks of it, but the GM does not even come close to the interior of a Ram.
GM does things different. Denali, AT4, and the sierra, at actually all the same, a Denali is just a Sierra with all of the Sierra options. A loaded up sierra is close to the same price as a Denali, and the GM is the cheapest full sized diesel truck on the market.

The Tesla price caught me off guard, especially that it does not get Govt rebates, like a person told me lastnight when he got his new model 3.

I was thinking that a model 3 would be cool new rig for the wife but at that cost difference over a new “luxury” Honda Pilot even at today’s gas prices, I could put 30g of gas in a pilot, and be even with the cost of a model 3, and not have to be concerned about electricity.

When I bought in 2018 the performance was $76k. There never was any rebate for the dual motor or performance due to their price being above the limit. In Canada you definitely want dual motor. Performance is less range, bigger wheels, less ground clearance.

One litre of gasoline contains the energy equivalent to 8.9 kWh of electricity.

1210 kWh = 136L of gasoline
So why would the government tell you where you can go and secondly why would you listen?

Im wondering, Do you parents live in Alberta? Your parents model S must be very efficient for a 2500km trip back to the Calgary area.

Yeah, Lethbridge area. The model S has 100kwh battery and weighs about 800lbs more than my model 3 with a 75kwh pack. The model s is quite a bit larger and made entirely of aluminum. That picture I posted showing 1200kwh is about 5000 km of driving. Both our cars are late 2018 models and have some battery degradation.
Model S new range was 527km. Now at 496km @ 80,000km
Model 3 new range was 499km. Now at 465km @ 127,000km

2018 model S is rated at 102 eMPG.

Kinda Ironic if you think about it?? A city turns on a business, and gas stations for that matter. To supply electric power charging stations. Here is a thought, Why not impose a heavy permit renewal fee on the electric company for not supplying the charge station.
Oh wait, I know why. I don’t think like a liberal.
