Going to be in Valemount for a few day's in March.
It has been about 8yrs since i have visited and sledded there. Usually stayed at the Canoe or Best Western. I suspect they still have the locked compound at the BW ?
Since it has been such a while, any recommendation's if thing's have changed.
Also at the time the Moose pub was the only decent place for a dinner, has that changed ?

What dates are you going? I,m doing two trips in March and as of right now my riding buddies have backed out. I might be looking for someone to ride with.

Best Western still has the lock up yes.
Loose Moose is still there and food isn't to bad.
Best Western food has improved and was pretty good when I ate there in December.
Caribou Grille is over priced and wasn't very good when I was there last, but that was years ago.
All riding areas that you would have had access to 8 years ago is still available.

What dates you heading down? Ill be there for the last week in March (March 23- April 2).

The BW food is really good now... much improved. As Maxwell started the Caribou is super good food. I highly recommend Cougar Mountain Lodge. Young couple doing an amazing job making a great place to stay.
On a side note Kevin the owner of Cougar was in our group 4 weeks ago when I hurt my back and he was amazing with help and support getting me down... so I’m really trying to support him.

I will give them a call and see if they have vacancy for those dates.
I would rather support a young couple and their business venture in this case then a large business chain like BW.
Thx

How is your back doing, your going to be back in the saddle soon?

Check out Summit River lodge, 22km out of town. Terry and Lisa, are awesome to deal with and truly make it feel like a home away from home. $129 a night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

I was thinking of sending you a pm to hook up but after seeing we both crashed at BIS in 2005 on the same day maybe we should avoid each other. LOL.

Hahaha, maybe.
You know the dates, i will be there with the wife.
