no hic-ups yet and that's 1000 kms on the 2012. I know it's not the high mileage of the eastern trail riders but that's a lot of east Kootenay trees right there!!!!!!!!!
Bombs tick too........
Just sayin...
My 2011 is still ticking as well with NO problems at 2400 miles. I would say more like a ROLEX!View attachment 121998

well mines been great but recoil is done,,, called dealer said second one recently on a 2012,, almost seems frozen it hangs like a limp dink,,,,,,,then just creeps in but not all the way
kinda suck as now I have to drag the sled into dealer as they wont let me pull off recoil and bring it in,,,,,,
I wounder what changed? or just random luck
skidoo recoils are always hit and miss. the one on the 2012 im running only works in warmer weather otherwise it flops out like a limp dink aswell and needs to warm up from engine heat before it will go back in.
but my friends 2012 purchased at the exact same time has had no issues and works in all temps.
someone may have gotten grease happy at the factory.
insist they install a new one. because there first measure to attempt to solve your issue will be to install heat tape on the recoil. and voila it works perfect in there heated shop!
i guess rkt was wrong about it being a time bomb with the lack of lubercation on the bottom end..... good job brp
John T was it doing that from the beginning, mine was doing that and would work its way in with the vibe. So I brought it in and they found that in was one hole off so the rope was binding alittle, so they lined it up and works great now. Someone sleeping on the job. Good luck
