k sry boys ....another thing on my 01 800 summit 70 km to a tank ....... any ideas on whats up with that or is it normal?

rpms?

mountain riding?

main jet size?


the 2001 era of 800 summits are pigs on gas. its the carb design. you can switch to a hooded needle for better milage.

yep sounds about right. depends on your riding style and how your machine is setup. but yeah 150 would be a GOOOOD DAY. no way would you reach that riding hard all day

but 70 is low

i was getting the same sort of mileage on my o1 after i put in a new motor,it ended up being the choke cable was a little to tight.sled ran awesome but was sucking the fuel back.

My 700 will do about 80 km to a tank. That is mountain only riding at 5-6000 feet.
