Not quite, it has its usefull times. I actually find myself sending reminders via text when I don't have a pen or paper to write it down.

Texting should be banned. Alot of accidents are caused from people texting or talking on the cell phone. I know a guy that had 5000 + texts a month, then lost his cell phone because he couldn't pay the bill. Also lost his job do to having a accident in the States with the semi. They never should have created texting with cell phones.
