Like others have said, check the crank, and check the crank seals. Probably lost a seal, went lean, and burnt a piston. If you are lucky you might get away with a top end rebuild. I broke a piston and cracked both the top and bottom case when parts went flying so I needed a short block. If you...
Thanks guys. I'll keep an eye out for a part out machine but if not I'll email him and see where to go from there.

Hey guy,
So my ECM is friend on my 07 Outlander 800 and I need a new one. I don't want to pay ~1300 for a new one so I'm looking for used ones. What years are interchangable? Do I need another 07 or can I find one from a different year and still be good?
Thanks
Yes you need a 2010+ shock. I think it will technically bolt together with a 2009 but it won't work right. I think it binds and prevents the skid from collapsing.
Also I think it was in here that there was someone who was a trail groomer. Want to PM me I have a question. No, I'm not about to complain about the trail, its nothing short of a magic what you guys do. Just curious about advantages of a drag vs tiller like on a ski hill but this isn't the right...
Maxwell what camera are you using, that quality looks amazing! Hopefully its not a DSLR because even though I have one I hate riding with it because its such a PITA to pull out that even if I have it I rarely actually pull it out of my tunnel bag.
Could be raves, could be timing, could be pin weight in the primary. Its brand new so hopefully the dealer takes care of you and looks at the basics. On the bright side (if there is one) you're not missing epic snow right now, but hopefully its sorted out when we get a new dump.
Sask I bet you can still find something on a snowbike. If the wind blew it all off the hills, the trees probably caught a big chunk of the snow. That't my hope anyways.
Here is the report from Snowfarmers on facebook
"Wind blasted in the alpine and treeline strong north arctic air mass moving in over past 36hrs. All exposed aspects in the alpine and most at treeline have well developed hard slab. Ridge tops are wind scoured to the earth. HS has settled from...
I did the 154-163 swap and found some take off parts and got some new and it still cost me almost $2000. The $750 difference at the dealership is worth it.
budget swap would be gearing, clutching, track and move the skid backwards.
Is it just the way it shows up in the picture? Its always hard to get a picture of how bright something is at night. I know when I did the light bar on my truck pictures didn't really do it justice.
